2007 Auction - Wrap-up Information
The Tudor Place Historic House and Garden Plays Host to a Fun and Successful Event - $37,108.97 Raised!
Anthony J. Hyde Elementary’s 100th Anniversary Gala, Share The Magic, raised a record breaking $37,108.97 on Saturday, November 17th during an evening of fun, food, friends and a frenzy of bidding. Tudor Place Historic House and Garden was filled with 200 guests eager to bid on the great items secured by our donation solicitation team. Guests socialized and feasted on a scrumptious buffet from Quite a Stir in Catering while attending to the business of the evening – the silent and live auction! Once again, the live auction was a spirited part of the evening as our very own Mr. C. served as the Auctioneer and managed to identify interest in items and create a bidding war between guests. His enthusiastic and entertaining method raised over $16,500 in the one and a half hours he was at the podium.
Hyde’s annual Auction has always enjoyed enthusiastic participation among our parents, staff and friends of Hyde. This 10th year of the event was no exception and ended up being the most successful event on record. This record breaking success is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of ALL of our Hyde family. In particular, the Co-Chairs (Elizabeth Miller and Lisa Simpson) would like to thank our talented Share the Magic Gala Committee Chairs (Louise Brodnitz, LaJuan Campbell, Mimi Hall, Renee Howell, Pat King, Carlene Larsen, Katie Roth and Molly Whalen) and Volunteers who gave their hearts and souls to making this evening a success. We are grateful to everyone who put forth ideas, time and effort.
And our sincere thanks to every volunteer, donor, bidder, and guest who made the Gala possible, profitable and fun!!! We are working on updating Hyde’s website with post Gala details and will have a list of local businesses that donated goods and services to the Gala, so you can show your appreciation by patronizing the businesses listed.
