About Hyde Elementary

Hyde Elementary School is a comprehensive school for students in Pre-K through Fifth Grade. Our average enrollment is 175 students. Hyde is one of the most diverse schools in the District serving students from many racial, economic, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds. Our school is located in the heart of Georgetown, just west of the intersection of O Street and Wisconsin Avenue. We will celebrate our 100th Anniversary in 2007.

At Hyde School:

  • We are dedicated to ensuring that each student experiences success in an appropriate, comprehensive and challenging program that meets the abilities, needs and talents of each child in an accepting and caring environment that celebrates diversity.
  • We believe that a successful school builds on its strengths. Anthony Hyde has a long history of being a school with a diverse and rich family body.
  • We are committed to the success of each child and family by developing in each child a solid grounding in the disciplines of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies within the democratic ethos of a public school.

Hyde offers its students a variety of Programs and Services and participates in several Collaborative Partnerships within the community.
